University degrees and ass kicking...

This is just a really quick update because it has occurred to me that things around here look quite a bit broken.  And they are.

Why?

Hazaar CMS was once being developed daily as part of my normal duties.  Since changing jobs, this has not been the case, however development of Hazaar MVC has carried along at a pretty good pace and there have been some major updates and significant improvements to it over the last few months.  And therein lies the rub.  These updates have kinda broken Hazaar CMS a little bit.  This is because Hazaar CMS always sits on the latest version of Hazaar MVC as it is the flagship appication and unfortunately I just haven't had the time to keep it up to date.

While I am at it, I have also been frantically trying to get Hazaar CMS updated to work with MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite.  In the process I also added support for composer to absolutely everything Hazaar related.  Meanwhile I'm attempting to obtain a Masters degree in IT at University.

Basically, I'm busy as heck and it's kicking my butt.

But hang in there.  Uni is over for now (last exam last week) and I will be getting on top of things over the next few weeks/months.

Until then.  Have a good day. :)

Hazaar 3 is coming, and it's fast...

I've been working on the next major version of Hazaar MVC for a little while now.  This version is going to unify at lot of the concepts I attempted to deploy in version 2, but never really got them polished.  I felt like I was fighting a losing battle trying to have a OS-independant "one size fits all" management tool for working with Hazaar projects.
So what does one do in these situations?  They re-write the entire core of the framework to implement the new concepts at the core, and early testing has the changes actually increasing performance, not reducing it.
So yeah, it's fast.  Like 30% faster fast...

Dawn of a new era. Bye bye Hazaar Tool!

I know things appear to have been quiet around here for the last long times, but I can assure you, not a day goes by that Hazaar MVC doesn't get something added/fixed/whatevered to it. So that and working as a full time PHP developer, MMA cage fighter AND doing two subjects a semester at uni trying to get my masters, is really making life hectic!   I have been holding off on the next official release for quite some time now (at least a year) because I haven't been quite sure where I want to take HMVC next.
So this is just a quick update to let you know that I may be on to something.

Here at Hazaar HQ we like to keep things fresh and funky, so it was decided that the 'ol rabbit in the hat logo was in need of a refresh.  Because we also believe in using the latest in technologies and trends we decided to give one of the many creative people at Fiverr.com a go at creating our new logo..... for 5 bucks.

Hazaar is NOT dead!

Hazaar is definitely not dead, despite the lack of updates to this website and the release of versions.  As always, the GIT repository is the best way to get the latest code and is being committed to daily.
